Peter is crisscrossing the globe in his quest to meet as many Gooners as possible and raise money for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, in honor of his mother who passed away in February.
His journey is made possible in part by generous Gooners around the world who’ve offered Peter accommodations at each of his stops.
San Francisco was no different as two of our members, Blake Kraft and Peter Sanchez. not only opened their home to Peter, but acted as his personal tour guides around our fair city.
They were rewarded with a historic win as Arsenal became to the first English side to win at Dortmund’s ground (much in the way they did some years back against AC Milan at San SIro).
As previously reported, we held a charity raffle during halftime. One of our Gooners, Royce Chang won an Mesut Özil away kit, and we raised $300 for Peter’s fundraising efforts. Peter was also given a BAG t-shirt and a certificate proclaiming him an honorary Bay Area Gooner.
We wish Peter safe travels and much success with his fundraising efforts. Please follow his exploits here and if you can offer him a couch to sleep on along the way or donate to his cause, please don’t hesitate to do so.
